Recorded in February 2023 for the annual MAR recording session at Newfound Lake. This year saw major absenteeism due to sundry ailments and resulted in an unmoored trio of psychonauts lounging on couches in sweatpants with very little perspiration. Beyond traditional instruments, one corner of the studio was set up with a “weird station” that anyone, when inspired, could interact with, which was equipped with homemade gear and options for real out-there sounds. In regards to time spent–other than 24 hours where a bug allowed Captain Black to vomit almost exclusively as a being with little time spent on other actions, most of the time was spent actually woodshedding “songs”. Fortunately though a very crucial amount of time was spent doing what you’ll hear on Three’s A Crowd, 2023’s first Condiment Release.
